Stephen Rogers, the 6-8 wing from Mesa Community College, will decide where he will continue playing Division I basketball early next week.
Rogers was scheduled to make a recruiting trip to New Mexico this weekend, but has canceled and will be in Provo instead making an official visit to BYU.
That means he will decide between Utah State and BYU.
It won't be a choice of which school makes the best ice cream. Instead it will be a choice of which school he thinks will give him the most playing time.
BYU realistically thinks that he can get a combination of most of the the minutes that Jonathan Tavernari and Tyler Haws logged last season.
We will see. The spring signing period in basketball begins tomorrow and runs through the middle of May.
We expect Rogers to sign with either the Aggies or Cougars next week.
