BYU Basketball Targets Rogers

Dave Rose and his staff are putting a recruiting rush on Stephen Rogers, the 6-8, 185 pound wing from Mesa Community College in Arizona.

So is every other school in the state. Rogers has already made a official visit to Utah State. Jim Boylen, who is in the middle of a house cleaning of his offensive challenged roster of last season, is pursuing hard.

Rose will reportedly be making an in-home visit this coming week. Rogers is a talent, but that fact that he is now at the top of BYU's spring recruiting list, tells us that they have struck out on any and all big juco post men.

Rogers has narrowed his college choices to BYU, Utah, USU, Colorado State and New Mexico. He also says he wants to make a decision by April 16. The spring letter of intent signing period begins Wednesday, April 14 and runs through the middle of May.

We posted recent video of Rogers when he played in Salt Lake a few weeks back. You could search for it in an earlier post, but we will save you the trouble. Here it is again.
