After 7 consecutive one-and-done losses in NCAA tournament play, nobody will remember anything about this current campaign if the Cougars again are sent home early by Florida.
It's not right. It's not fair, but it certainly is how it is in the minds and perceptions of the fans and press.
Speaking of not fair, here is a link sent to us today by a subscriber that points out that the NCAA was certainly not fair in the seeding given to BYU. Here's his recent email.
This page (see link below) is a review and composite of every major college
basketball ranking, including the wire polls. These are not just computer
polls.
38 polls are considered. BYU's composite ranking is 11th. BYU is ranked as high as 4th (three times) and is ranked below 20th only three times. (It is ranked 21st once, 23rd once, and 25th once.)
Now, considering this evidence, can we agree that a seeding of 7 is ridiculous and even scandalous? Isn't that particularly true given that the committee has made a habit of giving seedings like this to BYU and also to Utah State? (Utah State's composite ranking is 34th, which correlates to a 9
seed.)
Take a look. Spend a little time here. It's fascinating.

As the subscriber told us, it's worth spending a some time perusing this site to see if there may be some credence to the some perceived BYU bias when it comes to NCAA seedings.
