We Know How New Mexico Plans on Defending Jimmer Fredette

This is how New Mexico plans on guarding Jimmer Fredette in tomorrow's showdown between the Lobos and Cougars.

It is an old defensive strategy utilized by former Lobo coach Ritchie McKay as demonstrated in the photo above.

Two defenders simply lock arms around Fredette and don't let him go. In the photo, the guy in the basketball uniform and tattoos is New Mexico's most famous, and recently infamous fan, Mark "The Snake" Tichenor.

Unfortunately, he will not likely be at the game in Provo. According to police reports out of Albuquerque late last week, he, and several other men, were picked up and arrested in a sting operation.

It will be interesting to see what kind of defense he is planning on using.
