The quarterback battle brewing in spring football in March will be between Riley Nelson, Jake Heaps and James Lark. There is plenty of video of Heaps in high school, but we don't have much of Nelson during his senior season.
That is why we are posting four videos of the 2005 3A State Championship Football game between Nelson of Logan and Lark of Pine View. Logan won 56-21 and it wasn't that close. To be fair to Lark, his team was over matched. He didn't have a very good offensive line that year. In the game, Nelson was 17-of 23 for 335 yards and 3 touchdowns. Lark threw for 146 yards and was sacked 5 times. We also have posted Nelson with hair when he was at Utah State for his freshman year and last fall at BYU when he shaved his head with all the other newcomers to the program.
